University of Melbourne
O Week
February 2016
University of Melbourne, Parkville Campus, Melbourne
Welcoming students to campus with a week-long festival.
O Week is the biggest annual event at the University of Melbourne. For one week, the Parkville campus becomes a festival of games, live entertainment and giveaways, so new students can find their clubs, learn what their student union offers and make friends.
In February 2016, as Marketing and Events Manager at UMSU, I programmed the week and ran it: the logistics, the marketing and communications, the stakeholders, and the sponsorship and stall sales. One highlight was the Clubs Carnival, which I led with support from the clubs team: two days of white stalls on South Lawn for more than 200 clubs and societies.
