2,000+ riders, one big day out for road safety.
Shiny Side Up is a big day out for motorcycle riders, built to bring the New Zealand motorcycle community together and keep riders safe. It promotes rider skills, full protective gear and technology such as ABS, through demonstrations, presentations and workshops from well-known riders and experts, alongside a marketplace of stalls and food trucks.
The second Bike Fest came to Southward Car Museum on the Kāpiti Coast on Sunday 29 January 2017. As senior producer at Verve, I directed and programmed the day, ran the logistics, managed the stakeholders and the volunteers, and led the trade stand and site sales. More than 2,000 people came through.
